4 Morticed Fence Posts, Traditional Strength & Reliability for Post and Rail Fencing

Designed for classic agricultural and estate fencing, these mortice fence posts provide a strong, long‑lasting foundation for traditional post and rail systems. Manufactured from high‑quality timber and precision morticed, they ensure accurate rail alignment and a clean, authentic finish.

Each post measures 2.1m in length, 150mm wide and 75mm thick, with four rectangular mortices cut through the wide face of the timber. This allows rails to slot securely into place, creating a robust fencing line suitable for livestock, boundary marking, or rural landscaping projects.

Installed at 2.85 metre centres, alongside our scarfed rails, these morticed fence posts work in conjunction with one or two intermediate posts for added stability over longer runs. The timber is pressure treated to UC4, making it suitable for ground contact and helping to protect against rot, fungal decay, and insect attack, ideal for long‑term outdoor use in demanding environments.
