Join us as the Gravity Fundraisers embark on an epic cycling journey, pedalling from Paris to Twickenham for charity. The goal? To arrive at HQ just in time for the Premiership Cup final on June 8th. Additionally, their mission is to raise over £50,000 for two causes close to their hearts.
The Matt Hampson Foundation, born out of resilience after Matt himself faced a life-altering injury, stands as inspiration. The foundation provides support for those with catastrophic sporting injuries. Matt’s determination to embrace life despite adversity inspires us all. The Gravity Fundraisers aim to support the foundation in its vital day-to-day operations.
Just under two years ago, Ed Slater was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). Immediately after, friends and colleagues established the charity 4Ed. From offering support to affected families to raising awareness, 4Ed’s work brings about life-changing impact for those grappling with the challenges of MND.
Fuelled by the spirit of Matt, Ed, and the shared love for rugby, the team of riders and support crew are ready to conquer this journey in just over two days. What makes this feat even more remarkable is that the majority of our riders are over 60. Furthermore proving that age is no barrier to determination. So, as they don their lycra, oil their chains, and pump up their tyres once more, we invite you to join in making a difference for these worthy causes. Together, we can pedal towards a brighter future.
The Musson Motivation for Charity
Within the group of riders is one of our very own Directors of David Musson Fencing Ltd, Ben Musson. Ben is getting stuck in and taking part in this extensive journey for charity, much like he has done in the past. They will be leaving Paris from the Eiffel Tower on the 6th of June aiming to arrive at Twickenham on the 8th of June. The long road ahead will take them through: Forges Les Eaux, Dieppe, Newhaven and East Grinstead. Overall covering a staggering 172 miles (approximate) on their bikes, excluding the ferry journey.

If you would like to donate to the worthy causes and find out more, take a look at the JustGiving page to help reach their final goal of raising £50,000.
