Useful Information

For pointing, mix 1 part SBR, 1 part water and 5 parts cement, applying to dampened joints. For waterproof renders, apply the same 1:1:5 primer mix to a damp surface, then apply a 3:1 sand/cement render gauged with 1:3 SBR/water. For floor screeds, repair cracks first using 3:1 sand/cement gauged 1:1 SBR/water. Dampen the surface before applying screed. Mix ratios vary depending on thickness:

• 6–12mm screeds: 3:1 sand/cement with 1:3 SBR/water.
• 12–25mm screeds: 3:1 sand/cement with 1:1 SBR/water.

For bonding gypsum plaster, dilute SBR 1:1 with water, allow the surface to become tacky, and apply plaster as normal. Always ensure surfaces are clean, stable and free from dust or loose material.
