Glencoe 30mm Artificial Grass Technical Specification:

The polyethylene, reinforced with polypropylene, used to craft the yarn in Glencoe’s construction enhances durability. The luxurious 30mm pile height (with an acceptable variation of ±1mm) guarantees a comfortable and lavish underfoot experience.

A harmonious combination of ‘Wave’ shape (8 pieces) and ‘Curl’ monofilament (8 pieces) ensures that Glencoe achieves a lifelike appearance. Its design incorporates a 3/8-inch gauge, optimised to deliver exceptional coverage and performance.

The impressive 4-Tone colour scheme enhances Glencoe’s allure, meticulously designed to replicate the natural look of real grass. Additionally, the stitch rate of 24 per 10cm (with a permissible variation of ±3%) and 25,200 stitches per square meter (with a permissible variation of ±10%) underscore the quality that Glencoe offers.

This remarkable artificial grass solution incorporates 100 to 150 drainage holes per square meter, facilitating efficient water drainage and boasting an impressive osmosis rate of 3600 litres per hour, per m². Consequently, Glencoe 30mm artificial grass is expertly engineered to effectively manage moisture.

The primary backing, a robust polypropylene cloth (120g per m²), and the secondary backing, composed of durable non-woven fabric (60g per m²), contribute to Glencoe’s structural integrity. Enhanced with a resilient black SBR (styrene butadiene rubber, a water-resistant bonding and sealing agent) glue coating at 1018g per m², Glencoe can confidently withstand various challenges.

Demonstrating a formidable pull-out force, Glencoe is designed to excel in resilience. it is important to note that Glencoe adheres to EN 13501-1:2007+A1:2009 standards for Efl-class flammability. With a reassuring 10-year UV protection feature, Glencoe ensures vibrancy and longevity. Glencoe’s installation and maintenance are streamlined with no requirement of sand infill.

There are a few simple steps that can be taken to ensure your Grassmate artificial grass product remains in the best condition for its lifetime:

Brush The Pile

This will help to rejuvenate any areas that might have flattened slightly. For best results, push against the grass in the opposite direction to where it is leaning.

Leaves & Other Debris

All leaves/debris should be removed from the artificial grass surface as it can build up and affect drainage. All you require for this step is a stiff brush, leaf blower, rotating brush or hoover.

Weeds

All installations should include a weed membrane beneath the grass to avoid unwanted weeds and airborne seeds embedding in the grass. Should any moss or weeds appear, ensure that only a water-based weed killer is used.

Even Wear

Regularly move chairs, tables, toys or any items that remain stationary to avoid flattening and wear conditions on the grass. Brush the area with a stiff yard brush to stimulate the grass pile and freshen it up.

Things to avoid:

Avoid large and heavy vehicles being parked on the artificial surface for long periods of time.

Cigarettes, BBQ's and bonfires should never be used near artificial grass.

Mirrors or reflective glass should never be installed near artificial grass as the reflected light from intense sunlight can melt the grass blades.

Glass and other sharp objects should never be left on the lawn unattended. Other than the obvious risk of causing serious injury to others, it can damage your lawn.

The use of improper footwear, such as football/rugby boots, stilettos or any footwear that is not flat could damage the grass.

Strong detergents such as bleach should never be used, always use the advised methods.
