Cost Effective & Versatile Light Stock Net
Looking for a cost-effective traditional fencing option? Consider L8/80/15 light stock net! Its hinge joint feature makes it a versatile choice for low-pressure livestock areas or short-term projects. Unlike high tensile wire, this mild steel wire doesn’t require as much straining, allowing for gradual turns off intermediate posts. As a result, this light stock is a more manoeuvrable wire. Save money while taking advantage of the benefits of hinge joint fencing with L8/80/15. However it does require retightening annually.
To ensure the durability of your L8/80/15 light stock net, it’s important to use a straining post at every major change in direction or termination, supported by a strut or box assembly. Tie by hand or suitable joiners should securely tie off the netting on these posts. During tensioning, reduce the “crimp” in the netting by 50% and avoid driving staples too tightly against the wire to prevent damage to the galvanized coating. For added security, consider adding two strands of barbed wire or a single electrified wire to the top of the fence. By following these guidelines, your L8/80/15 fence will be strong, secure, and longer-lasting.
Suitable for: Sheep and Plantations.
