The gate in the pasture fence should always be constructed using gate sets and an underground cable running parallel to it. This ensures the fence remains electrified through the cable, even when the gate is open. When the gate is closed, the gate handle sets are energized via the gate handle suspended in the gate handle insulator. The conductor material is connected to an insulator that is not linked to the fence, thereby electrifying the gate when closed. A gate handle lying on the ground will not generate discharges or interference.

These cables are used for both above-ground and underground fence feeders, connecting ground rods, and routing power at gates. It is recommended to lay the underground cable in a protective tube or pipe for added protection.
