Screw-in ring insulator with tape fitting, designed for secure attachment to any wooden post, featuring a 180mm offset. Suitable for polywire, galvanized wire, and rope up to 7mm, as well as tape up to 20mm. Also compatible with the insulator speed chuck.

The primary function of an insulator is to securely hold the fence line, preventing power leakage from the post to the ground. A well-designed insulator ensures the line is held firmly, minimizing wear on the tape, rope, or wire caused by wind and weather, while allowing the line to pass through smoothly without obstruction from sharp edges.

Offset insulators keep the line away from the post, providing extra clearance from hedges and walls, and preventing rubbing, chewing, or potential arcing issues when installed on stock fencing. They are also effective in deterring pests and predators. When installed at the base of a chicken run, they act as a “scare” wire for incoming predators or can be strategically placed to catch the sensitive ears of burrowing pests. This type of insulator can be positioned at every other post, reducing contact with intervening posts.
