Sleepers

When working with sloped terrain in gardens or parks, this timber is seen as a reliable solution. Rough sawn from softwood timber and pressure treated for durability, they furnish the landscape with a natural appeal. Additionally, this allows them to fit seamlessly into natural surroundings.

 

Our stock ranges from the common 4×8 (200mm x 100mm) to reclaimed creosoted railway sleepers. Ready for use in a host of landscaping projects. For some variations (200mm x 100mm and 250mm x 125mm) we have regular rough sawn available as well as incised sleepers. The incised versions have little marks, almost like knife marks, along the surface of the timber to allow better treatment penetration. Furthermore, these incisions along with the treatment provide a longer life expectancy for the timber.

 

The regular softwood sleepers are pressure treated to resist rot and decay, extending their lifespan. Meanwhile our oak sleepers are untreated due to oak’s natural resistance to the elements.
