This 150mm x 150mm (6″x6″) post has a 4 way weathered pointed top and is treated with creosote*. Most commonly used as a gate hanging post.

The timber is dried to below 28% moisture before treatment. The creosote is then heated to around 90 degrees C and applied under pressure of approximately 3 bar. Has a desired service life of 40 years (not guaranteed). For further information regarding creosote click here.

*HEALTH AND SAFETY: Creosote can react with the skin and burn, therefore when handling any creosote product (liquid or coated) you must wear the appropriate protective equipment. An example of PPE to be worn would be gloves and goggles. Avoid touching other surfaces after handling creosote until cleansed of any creosote residue.

The creosote colour may vary from illustration, being anywhere from a light brown to a dark brown.
