85mm Creosoted Fence Posts
Please note this product along with any information about this product is for industrial or professional use only – not for domestic or DIY purposes.
Our 85mm creosoted fence posts are cut from slow-grown European Pine, these timbers are specifically selected for their open cell structure, which allows preservative treatments to penetrate deeper and perform better than many alternative timbers.
Each post is kiln dried to a moisture content of below 28% before treatment. This crucial step maximises absorption, ensuring the creosote is drawn deep into the timber fibres rather than sitting on the surface. The result is a post that offers exceptional resistance to rot, fungal decay, and insect attack, even when installed directly into the ground.
The creosote treatment itself is applied using a high-performance industrial process. The preservative is heated to approximately 90°C and pressurised to around 3 bar, locking in long-lasting protection throughout the post. With a desired life expectancy of 25 years, these posts are a dependable choice for agricultural fencing, boundary marking, and other large-scale rural or commercial projects where durability is essential.
