2.4m x 175-200mm Creosoted Cundy Strainer Post, UK-Treated & Long Lasting

Our 2.4m x 175-200mm creosoted cundy strainer post is designed for heavy-duty agricultural fencing needs. This post is pointed for easier installation and is perfect for supporting strained wire at crucial points like fence corners or direction changes. Its substantial diameter offers excellent strength and stability, helping maintain the integrity of your fencing over time.

These posts are made from slow-growing European Redwood, mostly Pine, which is known for its superior ability to absorb and retain creosote compared to other wood types. Before the creosote is applied, the timber is carefully dried to reduce moisture content to below 28%. The treatment is then applied in the UK using a high-pressure system at around 90°C to ensure deep penetration, giving the post an desired service life of 40 years.

Though the colour of the treated post may vary from light brown to dark brown or almost black, this has no effect on the post’s quality or durability. Due to the industrial nature of creosote, this product is intended for professional use only and not to be used for domestic or DIY projects. Always use protective clothing when handling these posts, as direct contact may cause skin irritation.
