Our roofing tek screws for sheet-to-timber installations are topped with an 8mm hex head featuring the protective ‘Elementech’ coating. Overall, the finish has been proven to resist corrosion for 1000 hours in salt spray tests and offers enhanced fire resistance. Beneath the aluminium flange there is a 16mm EPDM (synthetic rubber) washer which expands under pressure. Consequently, this ensures a durable weather seal around the screw hole.
These screws are purpose built for attaching cladding or sheet metal to timber frameworks along with a self-drilling gash point, eliminating the need for pre-drilling. Moreover, this point allows for rapid installation, saving you time and effort. Furthermore, these versatile tek screws are compatible with steel thicknesses ranging from 0.5mm to 1.2mm.
The TechFast roofing tek screws for sheet to timber from ForgeFix are 6.3mm in diameter and come in packs of 100. Additionally, within our standard selection they are available only in 32mm and 45mm long screws.
