Installation is straightforward, with the gate being adaptable for hanging from either stile. However, for optimal support, it’s recommended to hang the gate so that the bracing supports the weight on the hinges. The recommended fittings include cranked pin on plate hinges and a ring latch when mounting on a wall, or a one-way adjustable hinge set and ring latch when installing between wooden posts. Hinges should be at least a third of the gate’s width to provide adequate support.

For proper installation, it’s advised to use posts measuring 2.4m in length with a cross-section of 100mm x 100mm. This ensures the gate is securely mounted and functions effectively.

It is strongly recommended to fit two Brenton Bolts on the gate. One on the top and one on the bottom of the gate to reduce warping when closed.
