Measuring at 125mm wide, the feather edge boards give this gate a classic yet contemporary appearance. The Country Gate is expertly finished with a capping strip, adding a touch of elegance to your outdoor space. Whether you need a side gate to access your garden or want to create a seamless run of feather-edge panels, this gate is the ideal solution. To ensure its stability, we recommend using sturdy 8ft 4×4 posts (2.4m x 100mm x 100mm) to hang it.

For hassle free installation, you have the flexibility to choose from a variety of fittings. It is advised to use the 18″ adjustable hook and band hinge set or the cranked hook and band set, complemented by a convenient ring latch for easy access.

When installing heavier gates, it is also advised to maximize their support by placing the hinges on the side where both braces are located in the corners. Additionally, leave a 10mm gap between the gate and the clamping post. Meanwhile, maintain a 15mm gap between the gate and the post on the hanging side. These small details ensure proper functionality.

While our feather edge country gate comes pressure treated for durability, we recommend applying Restol UV Oil before hanging.

It is strongly recommended to fit two Brenton Bolts on the gate. One on the top and one on the bottom of the gate to reduce warping when closed.
