A Reliable, Sturdy Timber 5 Bar Gate That Looks the Part
The Forester Universal 5 Bar Gate is the classic choice for anyone after a strong and long-lasting gate that still looks smart. Whether it’s going on a farm track, a field entrance or across a drive, this gate holds up well against regular use – thanks to the combined construction of solid timber and corrosion resistant fixings.
Made in the UK from pressure-treated softwood, this 5 bar gate is made to withstand the British weather. The bracing is traditional in style, with diagonal supports giving strength without over complicating the design. It’s universal too – so no need to worry about left or right hanging, it will fit either way.
This gate is a favourite among fencing contractors, landowners, and anyone needing a gate that works hard without demanding much in return. It’s smart enough for a driveway and sturdy enough for working gateways. That’s why it continues to be one of our most popular wooden gates.
The design of the Forester 5 bar gate comprises of a domed top bar, mortice and tenon joints, planed finish and stainless steel fixings. It comes up to 3’7″ (1.09m) in height to the top of the top rail, or 4′ (1.129m) to the top of the stile. Flanking the gate are the stiles that are 100mm wide by 75mm deep. Note that this gate is not suitable for automation.
