The Estate gate is a residential 5 bar entrance gate. The gate features an elongated curved hanging stile affectionately dubbed the “hockey stick” for its distinctive shape. Charlton’s skilfully taper the top bar and assemble it using the time-tested mortice and tenon technique, guaranteeing unparalleled stability and strength.

Manufactured using sustainable slow grown softwood and made in Britain, this gate is made to a better quality due to the dense wood. The gate is planed, pressure treated and handed to both left and right sides for further strength on the hanging side. The hanging stile is 125mm x 75mm and the clapping stile is 75mm x 75mm.

The gate comes to 3′ 3.5″ (1.003m) in height to the top of the top rail, or 4′ 10″ (1.473m) to the top of the stile on the larger gates. For the 3′ and 4′ gates, the height to the top of the hanging stile is 4′ 2″ (1.270m). To automate this entrance gate, it requires the addition of a heavy-duty rail. You can order a custom-made gate through ourselves to accommodate this modification.

For the warranty to be valid you must fit a drop bolt (one on each gate if a pair). The gate must also be coated with Restol UV Oil prior to hanging the gate.
