Somerfield Gate LH

The Somerfield 5 Bar Left Handed Gate is a traditional gate, suitable for all types of entrances from residential to equestrian. These gates come handed (both left and right options) meaning the hanging stile is thicker/heavier duty at 125mm x 75mm than the clapping post at 75m x 75mm.

Braced in a diagonal shape and the number of these braces will vary depending on the size of the gate with the 13' and the 14' variations of the gate including an extra vertical brace in the middle of the gate. Tapered and chamfered top bar with robust mortice and tenon joints, planed finish and stainless steel fixings.

The gate reaches 3' 7" (1.09m) to the top of the top rail and 4' (1.219m) to the top of the stile, coming in lengths varying from 3' up to 14'. These gates are not suitable for automation.

Advisory hanging post sizes (only advisory, change post size at your discretion) - 

• 3' to 4' wide gate - 2.4m x 150mm x 150mm 4WW

• 5' to 7' wide gate - 2.4m x 175mm x 175mm 4WW

• 8' to 14' wide gate - 2.4m x 200mm x 200mm 4WW

For any warranty to be valid on the gate you must fit a drop bolt (one on each gate if a pair) and the gate must be coated with Restol UV Oil prior to hanging the gate. See Timber Gate Care for further information.
